Leeds United U21 vs Oldham Athletic squad news confirmed as Crysencio Summerville starts

Mark Jackson was able to bring in a larger selection of players for Leeds United’s EFL Under-21 Trophy match with Oldham Athletic tonight.

The development team head coach named a 15-18-year-old starting XI for their Papa John’s Trophy opener against Tranmere Rovers two weeks ago.

As a result, the experienced League Two sent out the junior Whites with relative ease, increasing by three halftime goals.

The Latics currently occupy the bottom of the Football League pyramid, 24th in League 2, and recently suffered the ignominy of a 7-0 League Cup loss to Brentford.

However, recent results suggest that a milestone has been reached, with back-to-back clean sheets in the league and a 1-0 victory over local rivals Rochdale this weekend.

Having said that, the team Leeds have named tonight are a team that should be competitive enough to get a result, perhaps even a first victory in this competition as an elite academy.
