Milwaukee Athletic Club to reopen on New Years Eve after $ 62 million renovation

Following a $ 62 million redevelopment project, the Milwaukee Track Club is expected to reopen on December 31. That’s according to an email from MAC officials informing members of plans to reopen. “When the new MAC opens, it will be fantastic,” said Dave Mesick, chairman of the board of MAC, in the email. “From top to bottom, each space has been redesigned to the highest level. New catering facilities, new sports facilities, a collaborative workspace and top-notch service will be the hallmarks of the club. It will include four floors of sports facilities, including a saltwater swimming pool, refurbished basketball court, fitness equipment, saunas and steam rooms in the men’s and women’s locker rooms. The building will also include 54 apartments and some offices. It was previously supposed to have hotel rooms, but the developers pivoted to multi-family Last year. The historic Elephant Room will remain open to the public, serving spirits and craft cocktails. The Roof will be an exclusive restaurant for members. And 1882, named after the year the club was founded, will feature interactive and international food offers. MAC catering concepts are developed by the executive chef Tom mcginty. “This reimagining of the institution that is the Milwaukee Athletic Club is transformational,” said Joe Kurth, chief operating officer, in the email. “The new MAC will be a vibrant, relevant and inclusive club for all of Milwaukee. A Membership Experience Center opened on October 1 to provide insight into the new spaces. The redevelopment project was led by Josh Jeffers of Milwaukee J. Jeffers & Co. and Tony Janowiec from Milwaukee Interstate development partners.
