Quest Diagnostics and Boston Athletic Association Partner to Provide Onsite COVID-19 Diagnostic Tests for 125th Boston Marathon | State

BOSTON and SECAUCUS, New Jersey, October 5, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) and Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX), the world’s leading provider of diagnostic information services, today announced that Quest will be the exclusive provider of COVID-19 tests on site for the 125th Boston marathon, which will take place Monday, October 11. The BAA will work with Quest Diagnostics for administration of tests and tracking of results.
Participants in the 125th Boston Marathon will either need to provide proof of vaccination or produce a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours before the race in order to participate. Quest Diagnostics will be the sole provider of tests for participants, staff and volunteers. The BAA will work with Quest to organize an on-site testing event in the days leading up to the race to ensure a consistent, convenient and transparent process to help ensure the safety of all participants.
