Members will soon have even more options to stay active with the addition of a state-of-the-art facility on the west side of St. George. Mountain peakThe fourth location, near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Tuweap Drive, is expected to open later this year. The two-story, 35,000-square-foot facility will feature new equipment, functional workout rooms, daycare, dance halls, pro shop, smoothie bar, a recovery room and much more.

“What makes this one great is that we got to look at all of our clubs and see what’s successful,” said fitness director Megan Dutson. “We built it from the ground up and put what our members want in it.”

In the meantime, their largest location on River Road is undergoing exciting upgrades. The outdoor pool area has been completely revamped with a new pool and a larger area for families. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of March, just in time to take advantage of the warm spring days in southern Utah.

Summit is also expanding the outdoor grass area and adding more family-friendly activities, including the cornhole. The tennis and pickleball courts will be remodeled, and Dutson said they’re working on adding more gym space.

“We want to give members more of what they use.”

People are much more likely to achieve their fitness goals when they enjoy working out. With a wide variety of activities to choose from, Summit gives members the freedom to find what motivates them, whether it’s running, lifting weights or dancing in dance and fitness classes.

“We’re a one-stop shop,” said general manager Cally Peterson. “We offer all boutique gym styles in one place.”

Peterson said the club has something for everyone, including children and the elderly. Whether they’re looking to lose weight, train for a specific fitness goal, or simply get more active and meet new people, they’ll find it at Summit. From a spin room and yoga studio to tanning and personal training, endless possibilities are all packed into one monthly subscription. Over 180 fitness classes are offered weekly between the three locations.

Unlike a gym or recreation center, Summit strives to provide fitness solutions. Their coaches and instructors work with members to help them achieve a wholesome healthy lifestyle.

“We’re lucky to have great people,” Peterson said. “Not only are we proud of what we offer here, but we are also proud of our people. I feel like our people are what sets us apart from everyone else.

Summit has revolutionized the fitness industry in Southern Utah for nine plus years. Today, their membership community has over 15,000 members.

“Everything you’re looking for — to be healthier, to feel better, to enjoy fitness — we’ve got it here,” Peterson said.

Summit is constantly improving to help its members keep moving. Join the movement at any of their three St. George locations – River Road, Bluff Street and Sunset Boulevard – or visit the club website for a free three-day pass, which includes a visit. During Member Appreciation Days, which occur on the first and 15th of every month, non-members can accompany a family member or friend who has a Summit membership for free.
