World TeamTennis partners with Athletic Sports Group ahead of 2020 season

The 45th edition of World TeamTennis runs from July 12 to August 1, 2020, and is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting three weeks in the history of this prestigious event. Orlando Storm and Vegas Rollers joined the action in 2019, with two more teams set to be part of the family in 2020, opening the door for more players to experience the unique magic of WTT.

Using the famous multi-colored pitch, the WTT was the first professional sports league to feature men and women on the same team, all under the leadership of WTA legend Billie Jean King. Andre Agassi, Kevin Anderson, Tracy Austin, Victoria Azarenka, Boris Becker, James Blake, Bjorn Borg, Bob and Mike Bryan, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick are among the names that have embraced the action in the World TeamTennis, with many more to come in 2020 also after further improvements by the organizers.

The WTT playoffs return to the Orleans Arena at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on July 31 and August 1, bringing together four top teams who would fight for the prestigious title and a whopping $ 5 million prize, with the additional million dollars awarded in WTT Playoffs Compensation, including a bonus of $ 500,000 to the team that wins the King Trophy!

To raise the level of the competition even further, the organizers signed a multi-year agreement with the sports entertainment agency, Athletic Sports Group (ASG), which will now serve as an agent and distributor. Athletic Sports Group is an international sports entertainment agency, promoting broadcasters, publishers, rights holders and producers connected to this segment of the sports industry.

“As we look to the future of World TeamTennis, we do so knowing that increasing our international footprint is paramount to our success and growth,” said Carlos Silva, CEO and President of WTT. “We are proud to partner with ASG, a global leader in representation and distribution, to achieve our goals of making tennis more accessible and enjoyable for fans around the world.”

“We are very excited about our new partnership with WTT. At ASG, we believe WTT has revolutionized the world of tennis with its dynamic and entertaining setup. We look forward to bringing this new property to international broadcasters,” said Nino Ockhuysen, Group CEO of ASG.
